Slander suit? Typical meaningless comeback by the chronic deadbeat. File in small claims NOW if you have anything in writing. He will intentionally blow the motor if you give him enough time and then give it back to you.
His defense in small claims WILL be that YOU sold him a bad motor! BET ON IT!
