Default bead installing tool

Years ago I watched a guy installing a windsheil glass in a peice of equipment . The rubber seal first was installed in the frame , then the glass was installed. finally there was a rubber cord or bead installed in a groove in the rubber seal to lock everything together. I remember a tool with a screw driver like handle and a diamond shaped ring at the end. The cord ran through the ring and as you dragged the tool in the groove it opened the groove and laid down the cord. I recently had to install a glass pannel for an emergency exit in a Bob Cat. In this application the cord was part of the escape mechanism. The cord was installed all but a small portion with a handy orange tag handle. In the event the driver had to get out he'd tear out the cord and push out the glass pannel out. It was a two man job. That tool would have made it a lot easier. Question is what would you call that tool? And where could I get a tool like that?
