Default Nisonger Mechanical Speedometer Fix

My Superformance (#2144) came with a Smith's reverse-reading mechanical speedometer as standard equipment. From day one, the speedometer experienced fluctuations of about +/- 8 mph. A shorter speedometer cable reduced the fluctuation to about +/- 3 mph. After putting approx. 7200 miles on the car, the speedometer abruptly failed. The speedometer cable continued to operate but the internals of the speedo seemed frozen. I contacted Nisonger's to see if they could work on the speedo. The bottom line------------they did a fantastic job. Quick turnaround, pleasant and courteous, and the speedometer works better than ever. No fluctuations and rock solid. Their work isn't cheap, but I couldn't be happier with the results.
