Terry, I completely agree. In the south this stuff is just a daily thing. people have gotten off with probabtion for the same thing vick did. Vick served 2 years more than 90% of others convicted of similar crimes.
As someone that has rescued Pits since 1987 I know a little about dog fighting (there are some books out there written by people that have fought dogs if interested). There is a lot more to the sport than just throwing dogs in the pit. The training techniques are brutal.Anybody that cares at all about dogs would be shocked. I don't compare the two incidents above (everbody else seems to like to do that though even though are completely different). I take the Vick situation by itself and IMO he is getting off easy by going back to the NFL to make millions. In my career I would have never been alowed back. My.02
