I had to shorten my clutch fork too. I use a Jaguar 4 speed manual with a Laycock Overdrive. string box and I had the Bellhousing custom made out of Aluminium (it was made in S.A.
My motor is a small block 400 Chevy, bored 0.030 oversize. It has Eagle 6 " ,H Beam rods with a steel crank.Main bearing studs hold the crank in. The cam is a full roller with premium Comp Cams Roller lifters and a Rev kit also installed .Full alloy roller rockers work the valves.
The cam button is also a roller bearing with torrington roller bearing behind the cam gear. This is all balanced ,including clutch and flywheel.
Edelbrock performance RPM heads with a decent amount of port work and an Edelbrock Victor Junior intake also all Port matched, and an 800 Doublepumper spreadbore Holley.
A trouble free HEI Billet distributor and steel braideed plug wires all work geat.
I regularly rev this motor to 8000rpm and it is so smooth .
