I was embarrased for the Republican attitude many times during the speech, kind of like I'm embarrased right now for iwantacobra427's comment. Communisim? You clearly don't have a clue what your talking about. Why stop there? Why not Nazi or Socialist? Let me try one, how about freakin' ignorant red neck talking $hit? You want a discussion or a bar fight?

The man who called the President a liar has publicly apologized, it was an outrageous outburst. Democrat or Republican, doesn't matter, the guy will get an earful from both sides of the isle for his disrespect of the office. He'll be lucky to survive his next election. AMERICANS have higher values than that, at least, MOST of us do!

There were several opportunities for Repubs to stand up, clap and support BASIC fundamental concepts of American spirit as expressed by the President. They're failure to do so speaks volumes of they're arrogance. I did not expect them to express support in any way for some of the points the President made. But they're bitterness, entrenched idealology and unwillingness to find common ground was readily apparent for the NATION to see.

On at least ONE point there appeared to be mutual agreement, the need for some kind of tort reform! That was encouraging.
