The tort reform "bone" is not and will not be part of any health care bill. It's a bone with no meat, no marrow. Dried up useless bone and Obama knows it. So do the conservatives.

Joe Wilson's breech of decorum was regretable. And he will suffer the consequences. But, what he said was true and Obama knows it... and so do the rest of us.

As for it not costing one "new" dime, that's a lie too.

BTW, I find it disgusting that insurance companies have the pre-existing condition clause, etc, etc. But forcing them to take folks like this will have VERY predictable outcomes. Health care rates will go up... the opposite of what Obama Care is attempting to do. As for the "public option", it is now DOA. He killed it himself when he claimed it would pay for itself with premiums from the "5%".

Just like credit card reform, Obama Care will raise costs, not lower them. Americans are smarter than that. I found Obam's speech fairly partisan. And then calling on Teddy's memory, well that too was regretable, but predictable. Also, forcing people to have insurance will most likely prove unconstitutional. It will get challenged if it passes.
