Having grown up outside of Cleveland, and seeing the state of many cities through the 70's and early 80's like Chicago, New York, and where I now live, Jacksonville...
These cities were s**tholes pre-Reagan, and all were revitalized during the 80's and 90's.
Only problem with Reagan's policies was congress not sticking to them. Reagan built an economy so strong it took congress almost twenty years to to destroy it. If you think otherwise, watch Chrysler. They're dead next year... The re-deterioration of our major cities has just started, watch this over the next 10 years.
The US goverment has just maxed out it's credit cards and all the CEO's saleries combined can't pay for 1 week of the Fed's current spending. What Madoff did is petty theft compaired to what's happening/coming from the Fed.
