Non-reserve auctions are good for buyers in down-markets. Not so great for sellers.

Some folks think the current market for authentic, non-race 289's is around $400K.
Doesn't mean it is so, of course. But, they are probably NOT up at 550-600 any longer.

Good time to buy?

It definitely changed hands. I spoke with both seller and buyer after the auction.
