Why does almost every topic that mentions Shelby degenerate into this discussion?

I'll add my 2 two cents and hope it comes back to engine talks:

1. If Carroll hadn't taken the AC body and put a 289 in it, and won races with it (and modified it to the Coupe), AC motors would have faded into the oblivion. You'd like them, but like the Berkeley.

2. If Carroll hadn't made the AC into a race car this forum and the hobby wouldn't exist (or if it did, in much smaller numbers than today). [There are Berkeley clubs and forums too, but try to find one.]

Now go drive your car.
