You have to consider that anything nonstandard - anything but black wool and leather, certain high-quality substitutes excepted - is likely to lower the value of the finished car. Applying something essentially impossible to remove like bedliner would forever doom the car to a second-class level of finish.
If you're not going to do a standard interior finish, whatever you do should be easily changed to suit the next owner. A bare racing interior could be a very attractive alternative if you add aluminum interior panels etc.
