I think it`s (now) quite clear...
A rolling 96" chassis supplied 'as is' by AC Cars of Thames Ditton ca.1969, which remained unbuilt until commisioned by Dr.Kravitz, when a brand new body & structural parts were made, by respected specialists in the field.
Attention to detail finding New Old Stock or original spec (MSD excepted!) parts, and a really nice car being the result.

The issue of original Cobras having lesser or greater repairs/rebuilds is 'usually' recorded in the registries, and reflects in their values & desireability.

I get the sense that the discussion over exactly what this car is considered to be might have been less pointed had the eBay ad been worded differently. Calling this the one and only MX 1 original AC Cobra is basically a non-starter for many of us.

I think we know what it is, how much is it worth? I know all the answers like"what someone will pay" but if you were asked to appraise the car, what you you say?

Anything that is 1 of 1 by definition has no comparable sales by which to assess a value, hence one would have to determine what other cars might be the most similar in characteristics, including date-coded equipment, etc. I'm not sure exactly which cars I would use in that effort.
