Revised, 7/27 Mountain Outing
We are trying to coordinate a drive on Sunday, 27th for the ACC group. We haven't done a mountain/Dahlonega trip (I don't think).
Randy, Chill, John O. are you fella's up for this? TC - how’s your motor going? Are you in?
Tentative Schedule (REVISED):
10:45 - Meet @ Kroger off of exit 13 (take left off 400 if heading North
11:00 - Leave for Helen
12:15-12:30 Eat Lunch & chew fat in Helen
1:30 Take scenic route back to civilization
Back by 2-3 in the afternoon to relieve grandparents beause my wife Lori is coming. She needs another female to interact with!
Post your intentions so we may plan!

Sorry, I have tunnel vision with my motor being installed on the 25th - I meant to say the 27th. Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that SVObud. Randy and other fella's - I am planning on bringing my wife with me on the 27th. Do you think you can get Andrea to come along as well or any other wives/girlfriends/mistresses (won't tell)/etc. It's the whole female conversation thing but also allows me to have 1 1/2 hours of good conversation drowned out by my BB! Thanks for trying and looking forward to it - even if it's only two cars! Have fun today at Riverstone!

Count me in also. I'll try to get the wife unit to tag along. If not, my reliable co-pilot (15yr old son) will be with me.

Tony I may have a conflict on Sunday. Eric is playing in the American Legion Area tournament that weekend and I don't know when he will take the mound. If he pitches Friday count Andrea and me in.

I may be able to make it and score a babe for company. By the way, the daughter and I just got back from Canton. WHERE WERE YOU HOSERS? I did get to hang a few minutes with Tom Calhoun and SVO Bud. I was counting on a few more snakes to be there. I scored a plaque at the car show earlier today. Get this...I won Wild Import. Think CS would have a problem with that one? Oh well, it's the thought that counts. I guess I parked too close to the tuners.

Cracker,
I actually found out my folks will be in town next weekend. I could do it if I can get the wife to drop them off at the airport, or I could maybe call you guys and hook up with you straight from the airport, but then I would be in something pedestrian. This may not work for me, but I would love to see you guys do it.

No big deal but we'll miss ya'all the same!
This isn't a Cracker deal - it's an ACC cruise - a little talk and a lot of driving. I just hope I'm not driving an import (BMW) because something get's screwed up with an engine installation. I hope everyone can make but we all understand - especially in-laws and children!

Plan A was to drive down to SAV for a week on Thursday, but plan A almost never happens in my life, and this sounds like fun. BUT there are a few conditions - You must show up in a roadster (no bimwit stuff}, you must use whatever influence you have to get good weather, and finally - you must be more specific about the start location - I could end up with a group of lady bikers or even friends of spydee if I just went to Crabapple looking for excitement.

I've got to check out. A good friend of mine's dad died and the funeral is Sunday afternoon. Oh well. Priorities.

After calculating my initial route I found it to be a tad bit too long. I was hoping to avoid the hwy 400 route but now feel it is the best way to go. This route gives us @ 60 miles each way from the exit 13 area.
We will now meet at the Kroger parking lot off of exit 13 on hwy 400 at 10:45. Heading north on 400 take exit 13 and take a left heading crossing over the hwy and Kroger will be 3-4 hundred yards on the right. The plan is still the same hereafter and despite my relationship with a higher power can not influence the weather (sorry John).
Tony R. - sorry to hear of your friends fathers death and we'll miss you!
Randy - I hope your son pitches on Friday so we may enjoy your new ride and Andrea's company.
BigEasy - Where are you out there? Haven't heard from him in awhile.
Take care and pray for good weather and safe cruising on Sunday!

Howdy!! Bad timing for me as usual, I get to return to the beautiful swamps of New Jersey(Bada Bing!!) to have my first hit at being a Godfather(and not the James Brown kind!!)
Needless to say I would rather be here and doing fun car things!!
Have fun! play nice!!

I like the tag line John!! Not bad for a small block guy
Best wishes for the "family visit"!! Do what I do when bored at these events and think of current and future projects . Sorry we missed the rally, but I have a Cobra begging to get finished [do you detect Mike is hell bent to finish car mentality??]
