Works for me, I was out riding around this morning. Nice to have the car back on the road. I definitely recommend the rear swaybar!
|
Clyde, glad to hear you got her back on the road. I'm down here at my brother's place in Tampa and getting ready to head over to Ed's place for a cruise with the DSCC chaps. I can't believe how hot it is here. Clear blue skies and 80 degrees. I have't been for a cruise in a Tee shirt in quite some time. I just pulled the ride out of the SERPENT EXPRESS car trailer and finished the detailing job I started at home. She road great even at 80 MPH down I75. Good thing I remembered my SUNTAN LOTION! - later.

Definitely a nice day for riding around in the Cobra today. Myself and Matt managed a few hours on the West Side. Even taught a Z28 and Corvette some respect. When will they ever learn? Matt made the comment that today was the most time he's spent driving his B&B. More get togethers this year should help him cure that problem!
Again - missed photo opportunity at Hooters. Chill - glad to hear you've got back on the road! Hollar! Tony - must be nice. We had to make sure we pointed it towards the house before the sun went down so we wouldn't freeze the ears off. |
SVOBUD - Next time you and Matt head out let me know - even though I am limping it would have been fun

JO -

Well, things went great today. We had 12 Cobras, started at Ed's house and did a cruise up through Dade City and back. Lots of twisty, curvy roads and very little traffic. The sky was clear and the temp was perfect. Unlike Atlanta, long after the traffic lights turned red, the other cars at the intersection would wait until our whole procession had passed through before cars started moving. I was impressed. A bunch of nice cars: Midstates, SPF, another Unique, Backdraft Racing and others. Some of the trip took us through orange grove country and the trees are in bloom. The smell of the blossoms as we passed was awesome. Having forgotten our cameras, my brother Scott and I broke off from the group to come back by the house. We ended up around 10 miles or so behind the pack by the time we got back on the road. We were hauling butt down the country roads, big spanish moss laden oaks on both sides of the road. We caught up with the pack in Dade City and blasted back with group. I felt like I was riding with 11 SVOBuds. We laid rubber after every stop. Lots of open country, smooth roads, sharp turns, long straights. It was certainly worth the trip down. This is definitely a great place to own a Cobra.

LIMPING - %/ **) How does one limp with 575 RWHP ? Remove plug wires - remove the stator ?
Randy |
GS - If it ain't right - it's limpin
Cracker - better check the flywheel while you are in there, it may need to be ground. So you think my predicament is funny? I have pix ready to post from The Chateau Bubba Lounge & Disco - are you ready? |

OK GS - maybe just one. The cheerleaders were there for the Chateau Bubba Olympics%/ , A rowdy event that seldom invites people not related by birth. Cracker was up next - so I left.
|
JO - I'm checking the flywheel for warpage but it has only seen this brief time in the car (6 outings) so I would suspect that it is still ok. I also haven't spun the clutch more than 3-4 times so heat build-up should have been kept to a minimum. I am more concerned about the pressure plate being warped but all will be well by next weekend!
Do you or does anyone else have a digital recorder/camcorder I can record my dyno run with? And regarding CHILL - congrats on getting your car running again!!! |
Was TC there ? I think I recognize that blus dress !

That's a Kilt. The ladies in the pit below liked the easy access and breathability.

While family trees get complicated in the South, I am certain Cracker is no better than 3rd cousin or 1/8 brother - which means I have to invite him into my home, but am in no way obligated to serve him the good liquor. Kitchen vanilla extract is just fine.
TC - nice kilt! Cracker - do you remember offering your Cobra door to the chick with the biggest splash? She is the one beside you, Yes you in the white baseball cap. |
That's precisely why I now have a new door on order. Funny though, I thought that looked more like Patrick - maybe we are related.%/ I don't have a white cap but since I now have muscles - who cares!
