Cobras invited to car show... 11/13
Guys - I got this email today and thought I would post the contents here...
Hi Keith, I am president of Lotus Limited South East and we are doing monthly exotic car shows and we want to invite the Cobra guys to these events. Next car show is 11/13 at Giovanni’s which will be held there 1 Saturday each month. Last month we had 1 Cobra show up and it was great. Can you let the cobra club guys know ? Giovanni’s 3630 Peachtree Parkway Suwanee, GA 30024 (770) 232-1122 I have notified the Ferrari, and other Italian car guys, as well as the Porsche guys. Directions from Atlanta: 400 N to exit 13, right at exit 13, take that about 5 miles and Giovanni’s is on the right in the Kholls shopping center. The main cross street is McGinnis Ferry. If anyone needs help finding the place my cell is 770-712-8077 and my home number is 770-844-6939. Hey Hector I thought you had moved or something - good to see you are still around. I just got back from a quick spin around the block - damn I love these 45 - 50 degree mornings. Life is indeed very good!

Hey guys ... I was that "one cobra" that showed up last month. These really are a good bunch of guys. Good mix of Lotus and Ferrari. Only met one AH who had an issue with a "kit car". Hopefully mine will be back this week and I can meet you guys there.

Unfortunately, my next trip top GA will be for Thanksgiving sans Cobra. Hope you guys have fun. Take some pics!

I should be good for it. Ran down to Southern at lunch and got a new clutch installed. I think I'm ready for action. Hector, want to hook up on the way?

The weather looks good - sunny, high around 56. Lets overwhelm them with Cobras.

Hey Tony - good to hear you're back running. I talked to Lewis and they still haven't figured out what's going on with my clutch yet. Hopefully this week it'll be sorted and I can join you guys!

It looks like my pressure plate was faulty. There appeared to be a spring-tension issue. The new one is much smoother. I spoke to Bill briefly about next summer's HP increase project. Looks like a tweaked up pair of TFS racing heads and associated header mods might be on the itinerary. My existing gas mileage is way too high.

4 - 7 in the PM ? Seems odd to have a British car club event after sundown.... %/ :eek: :LOL: but what the heck, I'm in... and I'll bring a flashlight just in case my car acts British!!

That IS a bit late. It will be well into dark by then and a might chilly to boot.

Wimps, this is exactly MY type of event. Late day, low expectations. I am showing if Randy comes and installs my alternator for me. Cripes, get some scarfs and gloves. Show up on a motorcycle for added points!

These cars are in many ways British, I love the humor in their car show. TC, hoping it rains for even more fun. :p
