Brian - Another great event, thanks for the invite! I've never figured out - is this a schedule thing? Last Saturday of every month or something like that?

Brian Skeoch 06-26-2005 08:29 AM

Thanks, it was a great event. thanks for coming. naa, it varies by month, but this was our best turn out so far, in history.

how about July 16th for the next one ? the last weekend of July we have a race at Barber in Birmingham. how does the 16th sound ?

Loved the cobra's last night, just fantastic. those side pipes are enough to shake the buildings down.

thanks again everyone for coming and showing interest.

same thing next month ? havent decided about next months featured car, maybe Pantera ?

couldn't make it had a dinner party to go to.

the side oiler is supposed to be 5-525hp per Bill but I don;t think I ever got the 2 4s properly sorted out. I think it was faster with a single 4 any way I don't really need or want to get on it. Haven't come upon any rice rockets with nitrous and even if i did they would be disappointed in my 'senior' members reaction.

Brian Skeoch 06-26-2005 11:32 AM

anyone get pictures from the show yesterday ? Donovan took about 100 shots, and should have a link posted .

Donovan, can you post the link ?

we had 40 plus cars. in fact, we ran out of room, thats always a good thing. now, we can just know that this show will be every month. the date may vary tho, but I will send out a monthly reminder.

wished more of my Lotus bretheren would have come, but we had 5 Loti there.

for the guys at Savannah, we will see you next month.

Anyone know the owner of the dark blue Maserati Spyder? My wife's looking at one maybe sometime during the next year. I'd like to get an owner's experience/opinion.

Brian Skeoch 06-27-2005 05:56 PM

that was a sharp maserati , sure was. midnight blue ?

Brian

patrija 06-28-2005 07:30 AM

Yeah, or a dark navy maybe. We've been looking at few used ones - they depreciate very sharply (30%+ from MSRP in 1 year). Before we jump though, want to get some real info. May spend some time at the dealership on HWY 9

Did not have the pleasure of talking with the owner, but the white Cobra seemed to be having mechanical difficulties.
Rev Trouble - to see pix of your Poooscheeee in front of my redneck oval-track halfbreed M/C racer will cost you - probably more shrimp than you have in your freezer.

Marc from www.lightspeedphoto.net just posted his photos from Roebling to his webpage, dial it up, left hand column select "Willis 24" for the photos. Gordon had a great time, had no problems with his car while there and drove it back home with no issues, and I'm sure he'll tell you he got more comfortable as he logged more track time and they stopped black flaggin' him! I had a great time as well, tracking the SPF Daytona Coupe and the "old school as heck" 65 Vette roadster, battling tooth and nail with John O at record speeds. Well, maybe not, but it was a lot of fun!

Commish:)

How about some more road kill prepared on the grill? I'm doing some this weekend.

I doubt the pictures are very sharp as I was going warp speed to stay ahead of the M/C powered throwback sprint car:p

Here's the video link....

Stephen Johnstone put this together using some clips from my stunt car driving, and Rob posted it on the McMichael Motorsports Site.

24 heurs du Willis 2005

JO and Ga Snake make some apperances and if they hadn't edited out the sound you'd probably be able to hear them "jawin" over the engine sound

It sure was a great time, and Rob is talking about getting a similar event together at Road Atlanta. ACC better start makin' plans to host the shin-dig!
