Evening drive....

This cruise-in usually brings out a good collection of various marques ... and Giovannis is good Italian food. Jason, Rob, Gordon and others have been there before and McMichael brought the Noble and the Brock Coupe last time ... The location is easy to get to and makes a nice Saturday evening drive. Let's try to get some people out there this Saturday.

I'm going to the "Willis" - maybe next time.

Sorry, McMichaels' will be at the Willis, as well, enjoyed the gathering last month, look forward to it in the future. :)

If I didn't have to be in VA on Sunday... another 1,000 mile round trip... I would be at Willis this weekend too   ...

...but since I will be here Saturday, I plan to go and I will try to act like a Cobra to represent ACC .... I could remove the radio, the AC, the muffler, only use 4 of the 6 speeds, leave the top at home, paint some stripes on the Lotus, ... do a burnout or two..... trash talk with the Ferraris about LeMans 1966 ... oggle the women.... well that isn't actually anything different.....

Don't ya'll worry I will do what I can for ACC!!!

mzhun 06-22-2005 07:47 AM

pardon my ignorance, but what and where is Willis???

Brian Skeoch 06-22-2005 12:33 PM

Amen brother Clyde..

see you Saturday.

Hey guys, I'll try to stop by. Having a seemingly intermittent (worst kind) of problem with my right front ... it'll be fine for awhile and then over time as I turn left I get some kind of rotational noise. Depends on how that's doing I suppose...

Brian Skeoch 06-23-2005 10:48 AM

okay.

Bring it and we will help diagnose it.

Brian

chill 06-23-2005 11:18 AM

Just a wheel bearing... it'll be fine, c'mon.

Brian Skeoch 06-23-2005 11:22 AM

Guys, I just invited a friend who is also a car nut. he is also guitarist for the band 38 Special. Hopefully Jeff will come to the event, not sure tho, but any cobra / car lover is welcome..

there is a beautiful silver Cobra at Flashback. belong to anyone ?

I think the owner won it in a raffle if I'm not mistaken. But one hole was sour and they have the engine apart. Probably should have let Bill Parham fool with it instead of the boys at flashback. But i wouldn't take my 6 down there

Brian Skeoch 06-24-2005 11:08 AM

Alex, your cobra has a 427 side oiler ? Good lord... how many horses ?

Brian

I should be there. Just went for a quick drive and no issues - but I think it only shows up after some period of time.

Clyde - To be more specific, only happens when I turn left - not all the time. Turn right / Go straight all is fine. For the first ## miles, turning left is fine. After ## miles, when I turn left I get some kind of rotational noise from the right front tire. Continues for awhile after the turn and then disappears.

Assuming you brake into the corner (which I have seen is not always the case when you drive) maybe a brake pad's dragging??? .... if one of the pucks is sticking (not retracting fully) after warming up it makes the pad drag .... eventually retracting.... just a thought.

Bled your brakes in a while?

patrija 06-24-2005 11:42 AM

brake ... i thought it was accelerate though the turn ... braking must be for lotus drivers.

good idea on the pad, possibility.

chill 06-24-2005 11:45 AM

.... slow in... fast out....

...surely you have been told that before...

patrija 06-24-2005 01:03 PM

i thought it was just ... faster .. faster ...

:D

PS - don't think it's brakes. just went for a longer drive. just turn related. quite strange ... planning to be there tomorrow though.

Brian Skeoch 06-24-2005 01:16 PM

cool. how many Cobra's will be at the Giovanni gig tomorrow afternoon ? I am anticipating 40 cars . Cobra, Lotus, Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, BMW, Alfa, Maserati and every once in a while an old Morgan comes, or some Triumph guys.

its going to be FUN.

No fee, no awards, no special attire, " just fool proof and sucka free " as Jesse James would say.

Brian

Maybe osme of the Rennsouth girls will show up..

patrija 06-24-2005 06:57 PM

At least 1 :D
