Chill, thanks for the description - imagination in this case is probably almost as good as a picture! I also realize we really did a lousy PR job for the ACC. She was driving Cobras all day and I'm sure we could have talked her into a membership. And, at least we would have something better to look at when we got together than each other 
That gives me an idea. You do the driving school for teenagers. Why don't we create a version for Hooters girls in need of driving training! Then Rob can put them to work in the showroom and for demo rides. I could see sales of Superformance booming!

Glad everyone had fun. I will be up there THIS weekend with the Porsche Club. Just put a new clutch master, line, and slave in my 944 racer. Still have a dead pedal...hopefully just needs more bleeding. After that, two more projects to finish....  |

Mike,
Are you done with your intake system install?
My engine is still at Keith Craft and have a feeling based on his schedule and mine that it's not going to be in the car by then.
And, no I don't think I'll go the rental route again. The wife has started paying more attention to the budget category in Quicken called "car parts, repair, and other."
Also good to see Doc is now up to date on the thread :-)

HSSSS, my fuel injection project has turned into an engine rebuild. I was at the point of fitting the throttle bodies to the engine in car when I replaced the plugs and noticed one of them nearly closed shut. It was a piston that broke apart, presumebly from going lean at the last track event. The number one cylinder always seems to suffer from fuel starvation on track, it was a blown #1 head gasket at Roebling and now this. Anyway, I just got the new piston set from KC and am about to start putting it back together. After I reinstall the engine I still have to make it run with an untested fuel injection system and distributorless ignition system. Also new is a fuel cell with internal pump and surge tank to resist fuel starvation on track.
It will suck badly if we don't make it to the March event, wonder if Rob has any extra cars?
Let me know if you want any help when you get yours ready for the engine installation, if work allows I'd be glad to help.

I know where you're at. Mine started as a new tranny and ended up as a engine rebuild, new dash, paint and body work, yadah, yadah, yadah......
I will definately let you know if I run into problems and appreciate the offer. However, sounds like you have your hands full! That thing is going to be a beast with fuel injection. So that will lead to suspension mods, and new tires, and more yadah, yadah, yadah......
But, a nice Shelby GT 350, or the Nobel would sure be a fun trip around Road Atlanta! Last summer I tried to convince Rob to get in the rental business, but apparently the insurance is a killer. But you know, Panoz does a driving school - why hook up and offer one in SPF Cobras and/or GT 350 clones? I bet that would get more draw than a Panoz!

HSSS, what seat sliders did you use? I have the Kirky's bolted to the floor but would like to be able to slide my side for ease of entry/exit...

Didn't use the sliders with the Kirky. Use them on the standard seats and then yank those seats and the sliders out and bolt the Kirky to the floor if I'm going to the track. However not entirely happy with that set-up either.
I got the sliders from a company that sells to FFR owners, but can't recall the name right now. Advantage of these is that they are one unit vs 2 separate rails, so you don't have to worry about alignment. You just bolt the pan of the unit to the floor.
