TR - Tough assignment - maybe lessons in air bush-ing are in my future.

JO - Seeing that the Gup went to Utah, it's next stop will be hell. Regarding my driving exploits lets just say...hell no!:JEKYLHYDE

BRAHAHAAH ... dude ... I still literally laugh out loud when I think about that day. Man ... that was funny. The look on your face when we pulled into the BBQ place said it all. "Some people are wrapped too tight for society."

BTW - I recognize the picture. The star of "The Crying Game 2." :JEKYLHYDE

J.O. - fix up the flux capacitor and let's ride!

Ryan, I'll take you up on the damper surgery. You available this weekend?

rcassidy 03-01-2007 05:15 AM

Tony,

Unfortunately, this weekend is already pretty booked for me. I could do something Saturday evening or Sunday AM (before noon). e-mail me cassidyr@charter.net and we'll work out a time. Looks like you are just a few miles from me in Dacula, I'm in Suwanee.

Cheers,
Ryan Cassidy

Understood. My flight won't arrive back in Atlanta until Saturday morning. I will probably beging the disassembly when I get home (if I can find a puller). I'll let you know if I run into a snag.

I'm here or somewhere. I haven't driven the car since who knows when - don't even know where I put the key:confused:

Who is Cracker and what did he do?

Hi JO - did you really let go of the guppy?

chipperb 03-01-2007 08:41 PM

Still 3 "Old Fords" but now 6 bikes, including a 1980 xs650 cafe racer and a 1972 Triumph Bonneville in the process of a total restore.

And don't forget the GA Tech auto show 3/31/07. Go to their site and sign up: 400 cars/bikes max. Could be a chance for a ACC revival. convoy down? cb

rcassidy 03-02-2007 06:20 AM

There is also the Stone Mountain gathering that Same day. (these folks should plan better :-) )

GA Tech one

Which one to go to? I haven't been to either.

Cheers,

chipperb 03-02-2007 06:26 PM

I would go to the GA Tech show. full range of cars and bikes. See photo album fm last year at their website. Outside if nice, large covered parking deck if weather is bad. Maybe we could get an ACC presence?/ Or is that hoping for too much?

Maybe we can make up some "excuse" macros so people don't have to type out long hand why they can't come... c

NKOTB 03-05-2007 09:42 AM

been out twice in as many weeks. See you all @ Ga Tech

Too much time in airplanes lately......

Was trying to add it up the other day, but I think I've been in Europe over 30 days since Jan 1. Fortunately it's been fairly nice places like London, Aberdeen and The Netherlands. Hmmmm...wonder how hard it is to change to a right hand drive

However, the car is running good and I've at least had a couple of short drives in between bouts of airplane and kiddie crud.

Actually auctioned off a ride session in the car at the school fundraiser this past weekend. I think the winning bid went for $125 for either a few hours in North Georgia, or a ride along at the Panoz track day at RA in May.

Also, my 7 year old won "most realistic" in the Cub Scout Pine Wood Derby with the pine wood version of my car, but definately lost the "car most likely built by the Cub themselves."

Gonna try to make the Mitty if weather and travel allow....

I am in the Carb to FI & Mech Distributor to Computer Controlled Ignition conversion processes. Built a Megasquirt controller this winter and hope to get everything installed within a few weeks...

Mike, sounds like your going to have a setup VERY similar to mine. I have a custom built EFI thats being run by a MegaSquirt II V3.0 and distributorless ignition (EDIS8 controlling it through MS). The guy who put the system on my car together is just outside Atlanta (Dracula or something like that) and is a great guy. If you run into any issues, he might be a great help to you. Let me know if you want his info...guess I should ask him before giving it out.

I even have the American Racing Torq-Thrust wheels like yours.

What EFI are you going to use?

James

James,

Ahh- I know your car rfom it's Atlanta days... Yes - mine will be similar. Megasquirt controller. For now I will be using a Holley ProJection throttle body that I found on E-bay. Have not decided yet if I will use a locked distributor or the EDIS-* ignition system.

Mike
