Default Hardtop for AC MKIV's

Does anyone know if there was a Factory Hardtop available for these cars?

How about an aftermarket source?

Panelcraft is a great source......

I believe the AC MKIV has a cockpit that is about 3 inches longer than the 1960's Shelby Cobra.

Will the Lemans hardtop fit?

Yes,

There were some factory hardtops. I have a customer with one, he insisted he wanted a hardtop. Brian Angliss said "No!".....much begging, pleading and threats later he agreed to build one. It was on the car when I delivered it to the customer, we took it off and put it his garage corner where it remains to this day (not really, he moved so it was on the moving truck).

They needed to be custom fit as the alloy bodies varied a bit. Trevor Legate confirmed they made some more after that.

The top might be available, I could ask Bob if he would sell it. Cost was around $3500.00 in 1985 so I don't know what he would take today.

Bill

Joe would make it to fit in ally, the additional length would not be huge.
