Default New Car Cover, Uh-O!

Ok, so I purchased an expensive Covercraft Weathershield HP ($239.).

Well, it's a single layer cover, very thin and light. I remember buying one like this for $29.95 a while back, and giving it away. I was expecting a soft lining for my paint, and heavy enough not to blow off on a windy day. Very disappointing.

Tell me I didn't make a mistake...

The one you bought is for outdoor use only, you want there noah cover which is a great indoor outdoor cover or the dustop which is super soft for indoor outdoor only, they also have the flannel which is there softest cover for indoor use only.

Do you still have that Covercraft Weathershield HP? If so I may be interested in buying it.

Well, I talked to the good folks at Covercraft, and they let me send the car cover back for a new custom one for my AC MKIV. They educated me about different covers, and I'm happy that they helped me get what I wanted.

Thank you, Covercraft!

There are 3 covers I would recommend, I have the swatches in my hand as I type, the Noah cover is great indoor outdoor cover that is treated for all weather, the next is the dustop, it is for indoor and some light outdoor use, it is the same as the Noah without the treatment, and then the Tan flannel which is indoor only, super soft, mostly for dust and some ding protection, I got the Dustop becasuse it has a little better ding protection than the flannel.

No, it's only for when I get caught in the rain, or outside on a overnight trip.

My inside only cover is over 10 years old. still in good shape, and I can put the Covercraft over it, outside, when the need arises.

BTW, I wish I had a cool garage like yours...

I have 2 covers. A very lightweight dust cover for inside the garage and a Shelby rain cover for "just in case".

You did not make a mistake. Weathershield is also known as Superweave at California Car Cover. I've had one for a couple years and have found it to be fantastic! It breathes, sheds water, stops dust, is used inside and out, very light, rolls very small and can be washed at home in your washing machine.
I used on on a Cobra Tour in Wyoming when there was rain and ice overnight. In the morning I pushed the thin sheets of ice off, shook the cover, it was dry in minutes. The car remained dry. California Car Cover has the measurements for original Cobras and the covers are available to fit cars with their top up or top off. They fit like a glove.

If I had anything to 'complain' about, it's that it is so slick it slides off too easily when removing or installing.
