G'Day Guys
Looking for a set of 'Front Bumper Overriders' without the hole provision for the hoop as seen in the attached pic. if anyone has a set they don't want or knows where to buy the new for the US spec'd 5 mph front bumpers please let me know. Best Regs from Oz |
Over riders are easy
https://www.csxparts.com/c-121-bumpers.aspx specific for 5mph has more to do with the mounting assembly and not the over riders themselves Bill S. |
Note that the Autokraft over riders are stainless steel, not chromed mild steel. As they are stainless you can weld the holes up with stainless rod, grind and polish. Using units intended for the two rod mounting system AC used will require welding and thus rechroming.

My input wuld be:
Buy a pair from Drew, then make a SS bracket to connect the MKIV units to the original style units. Always a way, just need to put on the ENG hat. :D |
Thanks guys. It was suggested on another forum to give Neil Fisher of Redline a call first to see if they may not have a specific pair that are made for the AutoKraft car. Failing that I think modifying a pair from Drew looks to be the plan B at this stage.

I can take a picture of mine tonight, basically from memory the AC MKIV unit plate to car is flat.
All it would require is a block or peice of steel to be used as a spacer, no need to modify the units from drew. Redline may even have that route made? Drews units are stepped, once filled in with a spacer it too flat. Redline is a great start... #1 |

Here is the MKIV and original from SC
Difference A) stepped B) holes separation on center different. Just need a spacer and a change one hole with a new or oblong current. Easy peezy, no? Nothing but drill, alloy block and bolts |
Thanks so much for that. I'll look to Redline for a pair then.
Thanks again ! Best Regs from Oz |
