No magnesium pin drives either.:p And I think you should get a free copy of a book if you're kind enough to let someone use a shot of yours. And Evan doesn't sleep here anymore. Plus, non-Cobra owners enjoy seeing Cobras more when the economy is stronger rather than weaker. And if David K. does run, I hope he doesn't put his own dough on the line... but I bet he will.

Does the throw-away mechanical flat tappet with the 4 wiped lobes make it to the docket later???

If it ever finds its way in to the block to begin with.... We could have built three FEs by now, and at least one of them would still be running.

It's easy to talk when you're not paying for the parts.....;)

(And you can tell your secretary to go play in traffic...)

Dave, this is a flat tappet that won't go flat. Nitrided lobes with Schubeck lifters. I don't even plan on doing a break-in on it.

Brent, there's always one common denominator. See nonsensical post above. **)

"Core dump" is right. :p

When people live in the armpit of the Earth, keep their car in a plastic bag, and spend all their time online shopping for the tool du jour, you are bound to get their attention. Start a thread about FE overheating or timing and you'll get some quantitative posts (maybe on the first page). But a thread about cleaning out leftovers is, well, gonna attract some flies..........:LOL::LOL:

Speaking of leftovers, I was going to ask Brent why it is that rotten eggs smell like car exhaust even though they don't have any gasoline in them. I figured he'd know the answer to that, and since he's just sitting around watching Sanford & Son reruns, he's got the time to post a detailed answer that we all can be proud of.

I think an " Excess Inventory Sale" sounds better than a leftover parts sale. Just sayin' ;)

patrickt 09-07-2011 01:04 PM

... and another thing

And another thing, the goddamm instructions were to write "Best Wishes Suzanne," and underneath that, "We will miss you." OK, I've got to take my nap now.

rodneym 09-08-2011 02:39 PM

So Brent, when you put stuff together you have leftover parts?
Me too!
