How much does it add to include springs, valves, rockers, cam, chains, front covers and chain sprockets, etc... to make a complete installation?

Actually, all the engine build stuff doesn't really bother me.
The part of the conversion that gives me hives is tearing into the Kirkham engine compartment, new headers, modifying steering linkage, footbox mods and all the other nonsense.
If t were just a drop in thing, then I would have done it moons ago. |

Call the K Brothers and have them do it their, OEM way. It'll be perfect-and maybe they've done one or two before and have parts / templates.

All things considered, I'd say the Kirkhams are fairly reasonable.
You should see the fancy pants cars in front of McKluskey's shop. ;)

I would distance myself from anything made by Coon. You can see the problems Jay Brown has had with is components. Search on the FE Power Forums for more information. Robert Pond is offering a great product for less money and the quality is there.

You know, Chas, what mhacars writes is pretty reasonable. I don't know Mr. Coon, but, of course, I read every post on 332-428 Ford FE Engine Forum religously.:cool: He has been literally skewered over there, called every name in the book, and his ethics, and quality of work, have been the subject of many, many threads. If Keith doesn't at least step up to the plate and address those issues he's making, IMO, a tactical business blunder. The FE, and cammer, world is pretty small. |

My point was that Craft chose the Coon product to use and market and announced such in his forum with this thread.
If he had chosen Pond products he'd have advertised that.
mha, in an infrequent visit, could have created his own thread to present what he perceives is a superior product-not cast a bad light on Keith's choice in Keith's own thread.

Ok, I get it. I did not realize that this was that specific sub-forum. I guess as I have had quite the saga in terms of getting my Cammer built and had the misfortune of dealing with some undesirable vendors, I just thought I would pass on some wisdom. I apologize for offending anyone.
