OT: Any graphic designers on here?
I'm looking for a professional graphics guy to design a new logo for me since I'm swapping business names. Anyone interested?
I will need the logo to be in a format that I can use on my website, as well as cut into my valve covers like my current logo.

Contact Juan, he's in the graphic design logo business, and right where you are. He's also very active in the Kentucky Cobra Club.

I gave these guys a try for a logo design for one of my ventures. A most interesting concept. You submit your criteria and they launch it out to 100's of designers worldwide who compete for you to choose their design. I think I received over 100 different submittals, some very good. The hard part was sorting through them and narrowing down to your short-lists, then your winner.

I ran across that site earlier.
I sat down and thought about it....just decided that the only thing I really needed was a good font. The logo doesn't need to be awe-inspiring, just something simple to put on my website and valve covers.
I came up with this:

Now, the only thing I may need help on is making the background transparent, changing font color, etc. That is a high-res JPEG generated by one of those cool logo websites. :)

Looks good! Did you think about just "Lykins" by itself on the valve covers? Just thinking out loud. Either way, it looks great and comes down to what you want.

Warranty ?

Well the warranty basically says that if it breaks because of something you do or were doing, it's not my fault. If it breaks because of something I did, then it's my fault and I'll fix it. :)
Examples of things that aren't my fault:
1. Too much fuel pressure, so that it floods the engine and washes all the cylinders down.
2. Forgetting to put oil in it.
3. Not putting enough oil in it.
4. Throttle linkage sticking and holding the thing at WOT for 5 minutes with no rev limiter.
5. Not letting an all-aluminum engine get up to oil and water temp before you hammer on it.
6. Jacking a car up by the harmonic balancer.
7. Thrust bearing wiped out by incorrect bellhousing/transmission installation.
8. Plumbing an oil cooler backwards.
That's not an all-inclusive list.... ;)
Race motors that get leaned on 100% of the time really don't get a warranty so to speak. That's why they get hammered on the dyno to make sure that they're right when they leave.

I never take you seriously..... ;)
I was basically responding to Cliff's response with an off-the-cuff attempt at humor....hence the jacking the car up by the harmonic balancer joke. (That happened to an engine builder buddy of mine.)

Ain't no joke-we used to do that to our 396 Chevelles to open the pipes on Cross Bay Blvd-about a century ago.

May be a little different on a Chevy with a snub-nose snout, but the Ford stuff is much longer. The guy I was mentioning totally bent the crank snout on his SBF....tore the timing cover seal out, threw belts, whole nine yards.

What fonts did you used in that logo?
If I have them (or got them easily, I'll get you a vectorized pdf file (transparent background).
Best

I used an online logo maker software to be honest....
They gave me an EPS and a JPG file.
Is it hard to change the colors on the logo? Black letters on a black background don't work too well.... ;)
