If one were to read the registry carefully, they would note that Mike Shoen said he bought the car in '68 with some 17,000 miles already on the odometer. When it appeared years later with just 14,000 showing, there were some questions to follow. Hey, you don't suppose this is what was meant by a Smiths reversing speedometer, do you?

Wow, I'd take the pastel blue '73 Carrera RS, just in case he needed to jettison one of cheaper cars for gratis. Nice collection.
After watching the show, I'm not sure the owner could actually fit into any of his cars. Is that why he's selling them? The seller obviously likes blue/white Cobras. |

Regardless, I know he can drive them...and this is a less than charitable turn for this thread. Let's drop that aspect and keep it a car discussion. thanks |
He probably needs the money. Why else would you sell in a down market? Just because he is wealthy does not mean he might not need to liquidate. My experience lately has been people selling high dollar toys because they have taken big financial hits.

Sorry Ron. It must have taken a long time to assemble such a great collection cars and I was interested in the motive for selling all of them.
Does anyone know when the others will be coming to auction or have they? |

His comment was not about Wayne. It was about the robust man that Wayne was working with who owned the cobra.

The owner of the car was not the show's host. I have no idea what their names are or if they changed them to protect the innocent.

Many of the cars sold through F40 Motorsports are on consignment. Carini does just what he says...buys and sell collectable cars. Who of us wouldn't give his left nut to do what he does for a living?

It looked like 3034 had dual pusher fans. When did they get put on?
|
If you are board with the Patriots 52 to Zip, repeat of 3034 is on in ten minutes.......Discovery HD
