RCR has a tube for tube replica that comes completely finished sans transaxle and motor. Wouldn't take too much to get it going. But you'd better not be above the 50th percentile in height, or you'll never fit.
That said, your wallet better be above the 50th percentile, or you'll never be able to afford it :)

The RCR looks pretty nice. Wish I had the room for another project....

man if that thing is FIA legal, you could have a blast at the vintage races. got me thinking 917 now. the rcr kit is sweet.

I agree 100%...I just wonder how much it would cost to purchase a porsche flat 12 to make it right. I couldn't allow a Ch'ebby V8 sit in place of the twin turbo 12...it just wouldn't be right.

I'd guess a Porsche boxer 12 cylinder is worth more than the cost of finishing a couple of RCR's 917 replicas.
Car wouldn't be vintage legal but it would be cool to drive on the street! Can you imagine the "is it real" questions!

I herd they were letting in Super performance cars into vintage races if replicated to vintage specs why not the 917 seeing the high price of these vintage cars going up and up isnt it a less costly way to go if crashed.

Going to depend on the sanctioning body of course but all events I'm involved with would not. I've never seen an SPF or any replica for that matter race with other vintage cars. Not even the 4000/7000 CSX cars.

I didn't take any pics of the interior. The lighting is fine for viewing the cars, but it's tough to get a good picture with or without the flash. |
I'd like to see better pictures on the RCR car. Most of the shots at the website are at bland angles. YOu can't really see the shape of the car in a lot of detail.
