That's what makes some donations stand above others, no matter the amount. And I think you sell yourself short - I'll vouch for your generosity anyday. |
Here are the pipes right out of the CNC tube bender. They are waiting for the flanges to be welded on to them.

In an above photo you can see we had to squish the round tube into a square so it would fit into the square exhaust ports. This is the first fitting of the tube to the flange. We tack weld wherever the pipe TOUCHES the flange (no sunlight allowed  )
We then take an air hammer and stretch the tube until it forms perfectly to the flange. Then we TIG weld them together. The flanges are cut out on our water jet. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...00_Medium_.JPG |

Yes, everything helps! Everyone just does what they can. That is all. If everyone does what they can then the whole world will be a better place. We build cars, so that is what we can do. David :):):) |
I'll post more pics of the car tomorrow. I think they got the windshield, wiring, and a few other things in today.

Time to start bolting all the little odds and ends onto the chassis. Here is the fuel pump. Just as an FYI, the bracket we bolt the pump to was originally used to hold the differential pump.

Picture of the pedal box. We use Wilwood master cylinders in our rides. They make a nice replacement unit for the Girling units.

The trunk wiring, latch, handle, and support have all be installed. You can see 623 (the serial number of the car) written on the underside of the hood in magic marker.

The differential breather can has now been installed. We install them as high as possible in the trunk. We use one of our billet brake reservoir cans to do the job.

The wiring harness and the battery cut off switch have now been installed. You are all wondering why the pictures are all turned at 90 degrees...

We assemble all of our rides on what is affectionately known as the BBQ. When the car is sideways it makes it easier to get to both sides of the car at once. Our aluminum differential is so light a guy can put it in by hand. An original cast iron differential is much to heavy to do this.

The front suspension is now on.

The billet brake reservoirs, throttle pedal assembly, stainless steel heat shields, stainless brake lines, wiring, and fuel line are all now in place.
