Please buy my book!!

As some of you may be aware, I have written a number of books as a hobby.

And, some of you remember Warren Meyer. A good friend, he was the last reader before it went to publication.

I am hoping you all will venture by Amazon and order a copy.

It is entertainment SciFi.

Go to www.amazon.com and search Trularin.

Thanks!!

:D

Very cool, I'll check it out!

marcalan 11-23-2009 10:21 AM

If I buy it, will you autograph it?

trularin 11-23-2009 10:56 AM

That is a first. You are the first person that has asked for an autograph.

It would be an honor.

:D

Will you sign mine, "To Brent, with all my love" ?

It shows they're out of stock. But I'll snag one.

Gunner 11-23-2009 11:30 AM

As a author, editor, publisher and sometime sf fan, very good luck to you.

Perhaps it's just the nature of discussion, but I haven't seen many signs of interest in sf here. May all the fan lurkers trek over to Amazon to place their orders! Unless the board rules prohibit it, you might post a direct link to the listing.

Doug I 11-23-2009 11:41 AM

how can we track it down on Amazon?

trularin 11-23-2009 01:17 PM

Thanks for asking.

The title of the book is, "The Last Map to the Throne of God".

Author is Trularin.

Brent, you can go ahead and order it. They only posted it early this morning or last night.

Yes, I'll sign it. I'm not sure about that love thing, but you are allowed your dreams.

Gunner, what is/are your book(s)? Everytime I meet someone who writes, I am so amazed at the tales they have in getting into print.

Thanks!

:D

I'd prefer to keep my public and private IDs separate, so forgive the lack of details. :D

I've been a specialty publisher for about 12 years. I've authored some of the books (as well as ones published by other houses) and am now overseeing and editing the production of a specialty set that will take about ten years to complete in sixty or so volumes. My published work is almost completely nonfiction and reference, although I dabbled in short fiction lo these many years ago. (I had friends who were big names on the bookshelves, with a hailed book a year... doing tech writing to make ends meet. I can read, too... :) )

marcalan 11-23-2009 03:14 PM

So, if we order it, you are able to sign it before shipped thru Amazon? Please let me know.

Trularin, Good luck on your book & with Amazon. I have written & published several works & no longer allow Amazon or Barnes & Noble to purchase them. I authored & published a book on antique historic fireams & also published a Cookbook. These were my 2 best sellers. Both books have had numerous print runs. I did well marketing them myself by using the internet. A Sci-Fi book might do well by you selling them & autographing them at Sci-Fi shows & also in fixed price listings on Feebay. Just a suggestion if Amazon doesn't work out.

Amazon is not as small-press friendly as they were in the early days but they're a useful adjunct outlet. My backlist stuff just sells and sells through Amazon, at reasonable terms and little effort. They have some annoying aspects, though.

Even 30 years of experience doesn't prevent a typo in casual convo. :o

I had no idea there were so many writers on the forum.

I really appreciate the input and advice.

To marcalan; tell you what, order it and send it to me. I will sign it and return it to you. Unless you are going to be in London. We might be able to meet up there.

I was planning on London 2010 as long as my heart surgery goes ok and the Cobra is ready.

Thanks!

Trularin, good luck with the book!

I have had letters to the editor published in both Car & Driver and Hot Rod magazines. Does this make me an accomplished writer? :D

I recently wrote some pieces/blogs for an elementary school (!) reunion that I was involved with earlier this year. Several people commented to me that I should be a writer or write a book on the topic (i.e what it was like growing up in Central Florida during the Space Race and Apollo program from the mid/late 60's through the early 70's). Maybe someday I'll get around to it, but the read would be more reflections and, quite honestly, boring to most. That much I'm certain of.

Dean, I am not sure about that.

How well did you write those letters?

:D
