Custom turnkey ERAs still break down from time to time, but that adds to the pleasure of owning one. After all...

Perhaps the most fun of all, is driving a quality cobra that you put together, with the mods. you wanted and all the personal touches. When folks see your ride and love it, their compliments mean more because you did it.
Just my opinion.

Couldn't have said it any better. It was almost as rewarding to build it as it is to drive it. I took my time (2 1/2 years) to complete my car, including the Jag rear. Most people who see my car in person love it, and even owners of originals have complimented it.
Back in the nineties, I checked out the CSX kits being offered by Shelby, and they needed way more work than anything ERA produces (for example, the carpet was just a roll, and the body was not fitted). Maybe that's different now, but at least everyone here knows the quality of both the ERA and SPF cars, while Shelby cars are (were) a crapshoot, being dependent on whoever built the car. For me, the Shelby name was not enough for the extra dough, quality issues notwithstanding. To each his own.

Somedayaurora: Wow, then you better put your money down now on an ERA before the line gets too long and the price goes beyond reach. Yeah, I agree I wouldn't jump on a CSX, kinda like jumping on a sinking ship with those prices dropping and all ;) haha

And personally, I'd like to see more clever quotes from old Broadway show tunes.:3DSMILE:
