0-100 video of my 427 BDR in HD
Just got my Go Pro camera. Films 60 frames per sec in HD. Waterproof to 180' 270$ bucks... Love it. Here is a test run to about 95-100mph. Sun was in my face, so video could be better. 3rd gear to to limiter [6400rpm] Roush 427, Drag radials.
Got a few better ones I will edit and post soon. Enjoy!!

Nice car, nice day, nice passenger.
I never cease to be amazed that people will post a permanent record of their propensity for reckless driving on the Internet. Apparently they can't imagine that it may be used against them if they're ever in an accident where they might be at fault.

 | Good point.... I guess its the chance I take for trying to share the experience with others. Hope it doesn't come back to haunt me.

 | Good point Tommy. If you read some of threads from "down under", the Federales monitor this kind of stuff.

I'm all for a spirited run here and there, but not on a road where someone might pull out into traffic. Let's face it, you're not always going to be at or under the speed limit, but use your head where you decided to open it up.

Native1,One way to avoid all of the potential problems assoicated with high speed activities on public streets is to do on the track. I suggest you visit the Deep South Cobra Club pages on this site and read up on the upcoming Track Day events. You can have a lot of fun while exploring what you and your car can do in a relatively safe environment. Then post some videos of your track experience.

It looked like you were turning the steering wheel so easily I thought I was power steering; I need to use 2 hands to turn my wheel... just wondering. |

My comment was directed more at civil suits than criminal prosecution. In seeking punitive damages, I can envision a litigator using video to show that someone has a history of reckless driving.

 | I would try and get it in by alleging that the visibility out of the car was inherently limited and his video of him doing a 100mph down a city street would help show the jury the visibility problems from a "bird's eye view." |

Car sounded great and your passenger seemed to enjoy the ride. I'm sure everyone jumping on you for blast on the street have done the same more than once.

When they closed down the race track in Hawaii I started seeking out the longest entrance ramps around the island I could find.
The best one wasn't far from home either, REALLY long, I could get into 4th and, well, I could get into 4th...
On the race track (never on the street of course) 4th was somewhere North of 115 mph coming out of 3rd. |

It's a freeway stretch probably around 3/4 mile between exits, with few spots for the CHP to hide. Pull over, look around, and launch. You "f" up, and you're on your own pal.
Also, NO co-pilots...ever. When I give a ride, it's pretty damn tame. "F" that up, and you have the potential of "F'ing" yourself up along with the unlucky person that's along for the ride.
