beauty, every existing F5 just lost 1/2 it's value. Wunder if that body will fit the old frames?

I sold my car last summer planning for this eventuality. Only I was planning for a 289. The bar looks different (<2"?) so who knows what else is different.

If that's the late Dick Smiths car body, wonder what FFR did about the track width. Isn't FFR too wide?

Looks like it still probably uses the base frame as the roll bar still has the FFR look. Are we sure this is the "198" replica or a new generation car?
Maybe they are finally using their Contemporary molds?

The body and proportions on that car look pretty flippin' good. If that is indeed FFR's replica of 198 and they decide to put it into production, that's significant news. I have always believed if FFR ever decides to pruduce a faithful, accurate bodied car it would turn the whole Cobra replica world on its ear.

The rollbar looks to be 1.5" instead of the standard FFR 2". Interesting.

They must have taken a lot of weight out of the new version. That guy is lifting it up with one hand!

Hmmm... the car in the OP doesn't really look like a Contemporary body shape, but it may be hard to tell for sure from that angle.

I can say no more due to a contractual obligation with "Da Bunnies"

I have no doubt in my mind that this is the first of the Dick Smith commemorative cars. Dick Smiths #198 body was digitized by FFR then reproduced. The last I heard was that there would only be a small number of these commemorative cars built. After the run of commemorative cars are built it was still up in the air about which body to continue with, I sure hope they stick with the new body as this will definitely push FFR much higher in the replica pecking order.
