Polished or Brushed Finish?

Which finish you prefer on a Kirkham, Polished or Brushed?

brobehr 03-06-2010 10:08 AM

brushed !!!!!!!!!!!
but the polished ones are impressive

FUNFER2 03-06-2010 10:40 AM

Hey bud, it's been a long time. We on the site a few weeks ago.
Are you getting a Kirkham ?

Anyway, look at the cobra in the for sale section. It's frickin beautiful but, wouldn't the sun reflect a lot on the body, thus creating havoc with your eye's ? I don't know.

I would imagine keeping it clean is difficult ?

I do like the looks of the brush finish, with polished stripes though.

I prefer brushed finish. I polished mine with about 300 hours of effort and decided I didn't like it as well so I sanded it off and went back to brushed. Polished stripes look very good on a brushed finish.

Jamo 03-06-2010 11:34 AM

Brushed with slightly polished ghost stripes...as originally done by da boys in Provo seven years ago, and it has held up beautifully with minimal touchups with Scotchbrite, at least one good wash a year (usually a rainstorm) and a bit of Windex.

It's the driver's finish.

You have to be a very extra special person to own and drive a polished car. There's literally nothing else like it on the road. It attracts attention like moths to a light.

Kit Cars Mexico 03-06-2010 01:26 PM

I am having trouble deciding which car to keep, as I own these two works of art, I think that the brushed looks more original but when I take the polished out the reactions are priceless.
I want to sell one of them, I know that; I just don't know which one

Help:confused:

That would the best! keep both and one painted, but I will sell one:CRY:

gsharapa 03-06-2010 04:12 PM

Alfredo,

You know my response...BRUSHED with semi polished stripes.

PatBuckley 03-06-2010 05:19 PM

Polished.

They are from Poland, after all.

HI Cobra 03-06-2010 06:41 PM

I love the ease of keeping it looking good with the brushed finish. Knock the
bug hits off with windex and you're done. I get more than enough attention as
it is.

SoTxButler 03-06-2010 06:43 PM

Alfredo....definitely polished....you remember the gawks last year at San Marcos.

See you in San Marcos in a few weeks.

Kit Cars Mexico 03-06-2010 08:32 PM

Thanks Russ ! see you there…

Polished, with 20-inch rollers. Impress the boyz in the hood.:)

CobraDan 03-08-2010 08:25 AM

I know 4 different Kirkham owners in Florida and they are all polished with a brushed stripe.
