Sure, Patrick. And I'm certain you have some waterfront property in Florida that you want to sell us, too.

When your sarcastic and fully intended "slips" stop being innocent, that will be the same day that f'n pigs fly. You're a bad egg and I have no issue calling you out in a public forum. Game on.

EDIT: My apologies to the OP.

while i am enjoying the one-up-manship.........i'm going to add to the original post.....
whatever you do....don't do what i did......

buy a cobra....don't tell anyone you bought it.......put a out of state plate on it in the shop and say for 3 months its here for repairs. then the following year you drop the bomb on the wife and just casually say yeah i bought it......holy mother of pearl!!! my nads are still on fire.....i will be dirt for a long time, its been a few years now, i'm still dirt, i get reminded of that often......all in all....it was worth it.

buy the freakin car ...the hell with the roof, fence and AC, just make sure the garage roof is good....hehehehe

For me it was all about living with a woman. When she is happy so am I.So always took care of her first. She always gave me a little grief whenever I wanted a new toy but always relented.Stay focused and you can get what you want.

Great to hear that you're not going to sell your Cobra!!! :D

Thanks, Doug.

Luckily, I took it out for one last run before accepting an offer to ship it off to France. (Je suis désolé que la transaction soit annulée!) Misbehaved badly on the Florida turnpike with a Maserati, Mustang GT and a couple rice rockets and had the epiphany that an occasional, flat, solo Cobra run is way better than no Cobra run at all.

Now if I can just scrape up the money to get the damn roof repaired...

Chuck,

Very glad to hear you are keeping your car ... and still having fun :D !

Danger, please don't let the "high spirited banter" dissuade you from participating on this forum. These cars are a tremendous amount of fun, and this forum is too. Some of the guys here have "hair triggers," but sometimes I think that can kind of go with the "Cobra personality." Deep down, though, you won't find a finer bunch of guys -- and Red's included in that, too.;)

As I sat in front of a piece of paper trying to figure out if buying my first Cobra was a good idea, my wife came up and said "Just buy it will ya!"

And I did and we drive three days a week together in it. She loves it almost as much as I do.

And, the house needs painting, the patio needs to be refinished, the bathroom needs renovating, the interior needs to be repainted, etc.

Maybe next year!

Priorities!

Ahhhh, group hug.

What a difference a day makes. Let's sing Kumbaya now!

I'm just happy that Patrick didn't exclude me in his mea culpa speech.

I would never do that to you, Rod.:D Frankly, I'm still not sure what it was I said that made RedB's hemorrhoid pop out so violently. But it looks like he's pushed it back in now and everything seems to be back in order.:)

RodKnock 03-23-2010 09:24 AM

Well, it could have been the SPF is not worth $70K. Period.

Or maybe the refrigerator/freezer door latch comment, which by the way, I have no idea from where that originated.

Or it could have been the years of comments regarding the "straight radiator" or the "hanging pedals."

There are others, but I won't go on. Sorry to the OP too.

Well, yeah, maybe... who's to say? But that's all water under the bridge now, because we're pals once again!:)

RedBarchetta 03-23-2010 09:36 AM

You might think that.

Patrick, you have a long road ahead of you before you earn an ounce of my respect. And everyone is watching to see if you're up to the challenge.

RodKnock 03-23-2010 09:54 AM

Or it could have been that every time an SPF owner has an issue with something, you tend jump on it and make it a major QC issue.

Or it could have been that a preponderance SPF's have Windsors and, of course, nothing but an FE matters when you open the hood. Because children will cry out in despair and disappointment that there's no FE under the hood.

Or.....

I know which side of that bet I would be on. ;):D

Get a clue. It wasn't what you said, but the cumulative stream of crap and innuendo that you push out that supposedly is said in the spirit of "keeping the boards lively." I have to agree with RB, you can be a big pain in the axx. How about I throw in a ;) to make it all OK.

You've got way too much time on your hands. Nothing is going to change with you.

Well, the wink does help to take the edge off, to a certain degree.;) And remember, RodKnock says that it's metaphysically impossible for something to perpetually stay the same. So, I would never bet against RodKnock.:3DSMILE:

So what you're saying is if we gave you a swift kick in the balls, and then winked, you'd be okay with that?

Only if it was a "virtual" kick in the balls.

RedBarchetta 03-23-2010 01:18 PM

You big p****.

You're the clown that trips underclassmen coming out of the school caferteria line with a tray full of food, only to look the other way as they go cascading across the floor. We used to eat your types for lunch back in the day. But now you're an adult and still pulling the same BS with owners of cars that don't mirror ERA. Congratulations on running in place for xx years.
