Can we make a separate thread called "Extraneous quibbling and stupid banter" that users can go to once a thread gets off topic? I'm sure the OP would appreciate it right now. Sifting through these "conversation" threads gets old. They are frequent, and all of those involved know who they are. Yes, there is sometimes good advice to be had in them, but usually it is one in 20-30 posts.

OK back to the original thread.

Take out a home equity loan. Borrow everything to build a new fence and roof, fix the A/C, and buy a Cobra.

Now the thread can down a different "conversational" path towards whether you should pay cash or borrow the funds to pay for a Cobra. ;) :LOL:

We haven't "done" one of those threads in a while.

Hey, Patrick. UPS just called. Said they could deliver one of these overnight to you. We'll order the largest size (i.e. bull mastiff) that we can find.
