Default Sealing Wilwood NPT Caliper Inlet

I'm about to install two Wilwood front calipers that have a 1/8" NPT connection, and their tech support guy I talked to didn't seem to be very experienced. So, I'm wondering what to seal the NPT threads with. Teflon tape? Loctite Thread Sealer? Both? Something else? The fitting for the bleeder valve is 1/8" NPT also, and the supplied male part has a red coating on most of the threads. I'm sure several forum members must have done this already. Thanks.

Are you speaking of the bleeder screws, or where the brake fluid line attaches??

I used permatex teflon paste - I use that on all pipe threads. Works just fine, even with a lot of abuse.

Thanks guys, I think I'll try the Loctite thread sealer. Just wanted to make sure Dot 3 brake fluid wouldn't dissolve the thread sealer goop. I've got a pair of old Ford calipers laying around and it looks like the inlet hose fitting is 1/8" or 1/4" NPT with some sort of sealer and no Teflon tape.

The red Thread sealer is what I use and I have never had a problem. Be sure and use a good brake fluid like Wilwood 600 or Motul usually around $20 pint. You won't regret it.
