velcro coming lose from dash

The guy I got my cobra from used velcro to hold dash at the top and around rail, with the summer heat is has come lose, what has everyone used????

Ratdog,
Nothing wrong with using Velcro. The only
problem is that the Velcro adhesive needs to be replaced with a two part 5 minute epoxy. It will
never come off and I don't care how hot it gets.:3DSMILE:
If you ever replace the Velcro with a different method then you will have to grind it off.
I use Velcro to hold my fuse panel. The stuff is incredible. I used the industrial size Velcro.

would screws around the top work and what size and how far apart should I put them?

BT SNAKE 06-19-2010 07:33 PM

Sure, That will work. If you post a photo of what you got it would help.
You might want to go to the FFR site and download their build manual. I'm sure it has details on how they recommend the dash should be afixed.

Take a look here. It's the FFR dash mounting instructions from Breeze Automotive.

For whatever you want to use it for, Radio Shack carries a high strength/high heat Velco-type product. Both sides are the same, and actually snap when they interlock.

Should also work great for cupholders, air conditioning units, rollbar padding...

I used a two part epoxy ,the 5 min stuff. I will see if that works today. Another hot one here in NC
