It starts as an aluminum 427-cid Ford NASCAR block...
Now just what the heck IS an alloy 427 cid NASCAR block? As I recall, NASCAR limits the engine size to 355 cid and there is no "427 cid" block made specifically for NASCAR.

Maybe it's a 351W bored and stroked to 427 cid?

Really? They predict a top speed of 200 MPH?????

It is still a roadster, even if it does have some aero treatment to the headlights.

I'll believe it when I see it.....and at that price, it probably won't happen!

Cheers from Dugly

A cobra to me isn't a cobra unless it's the old body style..which we all love..I still remember the first time I saw one in a car show when I was 10. I still feel the same when I look at it now..There is just no comparison with the sexy curves, and the great sound from a cobra.... Just my opinion....When ever you get that look of envy from a porsche driver...Come on guys we all know the look....That just reminds me that the original Cobra body style is timeless. I think the new body styles are cool but it just isn't a cobra to me..

My opinion..

I'd be willing to bet that if you got 10 people together with $500K in their pocket you could convince the Kirkhams to build 10 all Alloy Cobras like the one they built for Larry Ellison

Cashburn,

Is that Roush supercharged engine in your post 50 state smog legal?
In my opinion that type of car (or the Corvette engined SPF) would be the future of the Cobra replica.
We love the shape too much to let it go.
Some of the modern Cobra attemps look alright and all but the original is so much more beautiful. Form follows function in a Cobra to a fairly decent degree. Modern cars have no character. I swear there's a new Mercedes that looks like a Kia.

Not that specific setup. However with the EROD program from GM and the soon to arrive setup featuring the Coyote 5.0 that is exactly where we are heading.

The Lucra 470 we have in the showroom now is catted up and emissions compliant:
