Please! Enough of the Bad Taste Avatars!

Sorry to sound like a prude but come on! Some of the User’s Avatars are way out of line.
When my grandson came up to me while I was at the computer on ClubCobra and ask “What wrong with that doggie?” I got a little upset! I don’t want to tell him some sick person probably gave the dog something to make the dog puke while having doggy sex, filmed it and put it on their Avatar.
I’m on a web site about cars. Not Porn, Not bestiality, not sick animal cruelty, not bouncing boobs, but CARS.
If you want to be titillated or be grossed out, there are plenty of such sites you can find on the web. I choose not to go there. People should be able to go to ClubCobra and not worry about what their kids, grandkids, wife or even themself being offended by “Soft Porn”.
Please reconsider what you use as an avatar.
Thank you.

Here Here, I agree 100%.

If anyone finds an avatar objectionable or obscene, send a PM to myself or Jamo, and include the Username involved.

Certainly, animal cruelty or pornography is out of bounds.

"Bouncing boobs," on the other hand, will be thoroughly scrutinized by the moderators before rendering a decision.

Thanks

your explanation (or perception of what he is seeing) will probably do more damage to the kid then what he perceives.

wicked fast 07-29-2010 05:19 PM

I'll add a third.

Kind of embarrassing when I have to scroll fast
so the kids don't see the "questionable" avatars.

Thanks Ron.

Best,
BC

You obviously didn't see the puking dog avatar. No explanation needed and it was disgusting. I don't know whose it was and can't remember what thread it was in. I'm pretty confident it's been reported by now.

alkire248 07-29-2010 05:24 PM

I like the bouncing boobs, particularly Texan 392 (?).

patrickt 07-29-2010 05:29 PM

I'm just glad nobody took this opportunity to rag on me about my dual roll bars.%/

Blittleton 07-29-2010 05:31 PM

WOW, maybe I can't see the importance here. Here we go, more liberals crying about what they can't make there children not see. Soon it is going to be no avatars unless you have a CSX, or a Kirkham. Any man that makes the bouncing boobies removal from another mans avatar. I surely hopes he turns in his man card.

As with most things in life...including television, radios, newstands, etc., the primary responsibility is with the user to shelter their kids or others.

As Ron indicated, if you feel something needs to be reviewed, let us know in a PM or email and give us the user name or a link to a post....less bandwidth and more efficient than starting a damn thread.

That being said, we are NOT going to start censuring based on individual perceptions of what is acceptable other than our own perceptions.

Cruelty to animals ain't gonna pass muster. We're still thinking about the double rollbars.

...and for those of you in Oklahoma, Kansas and the Outback or anywhere else where there is a distinct lack of shade,

YOU MIGHT ALSO GO TO YOUR USER OPTION SETTINGS AND CHANGE THE SETTING WHICH ALLOWS AVATARS TO BE SHOWN, AND SWITCH IT SO YOU DON'T SEE ANY DAMN AVATARS!

TButtrick 07-29-2010 06:07 PM

Whoops. That wasn't a member's Avatar. It was a bad taste clip that represented my distaste for a equally bad taste picture of an interior. I deleted the clip from that post and I sincerely apologize if I've offended anyone. In case anyone was wondering about the clip in question, it was this one....

[Deleted, you sick fu...but thanks for assplaining the difference between an avatar and a random clip/gif. :p]

Thanks for the tip. That's almost as useful as the ignore feature.

TButtrick 07-29-2010 06:33 PM

Oh my.. Did you see the faces on those dogs? They were both VERY happy little pooches. I'm sad now.

TButtrick 07-29-2010 06:36 PM

Go ahead and delete THIS offensive pic. I dare you.

Actually, it was kind of a rule around my house that my kid stayed off CC, it was considered a mostly adult kind of place, like a bar, think twice about taking your kid along.

TButtrick 07-29-2010 06:48 PM

Here's an offensive and hilarious clip for you 4G iPhone wannabes.

vector1 07-29-2010 06:50 PM

wicked fast 07-29-2010 06:51 PM
