I'll measure mine tonight.

I have bought several Mk 8 and Tauras fans from an E-bay store called GT_Recycler
You can go on Ebay and to his store and see all the fans, sizes and install data

Hey Stallion 112...

I did some trimming around the edges of the shroud to get rid of some unneeded stuff. I ended up with a final size around the outside of the shroud of: 16" high, 21-1/4" wide and 3-1/2" deep. The center of the fan (at the motor) is a bit deeper at 4-1/2". As long as your alternator can handle it... this fan blows BIG TIME!

Mine is 18X25 I believe. There are several sizes of shroud based original application. The mid 90's Merc. Cougar will work well for many Cobra applications.

You might as well buy them new from Rockauto.com for about the same price.
Combine that with the harness from Hollister Road and the entire setup can be had for under $200

Mine came out of a 1995 Continental. You just have to make sure you get the one from a 3.8 liter engine. A couple places tried to sell me the 3.0 liter version and it is not nearly as powerful. I see right now that GT_Recycler only has the 3.0 version for sale.

Very true Xlr8or about buying new. I only paid $20 for mine, but a brand new one is less than $100. My variable speed controller cost a lot more than my fan :)

I just looked at his current listings and he has both 3.0 and 3.8 fans listed.

You can contact him directly also as he has dozens of them.

I think you have some great answers above. Just don't go this route:

The Ford Tauras fan solved all my heat contol problems, my car runs cool at an even 190 degrees, little spiking and I haven't even had to run the thing on "hi" yet.
$90 bucks on Amazon, plus a wiring set up...total about $150.00 ....perfect now.

Ended up using a '95 Taurus 3.8L fan from Four Seasons, the Dorman unit squeaked and the fan blade run-out was high.

Car runs cool now rarely getting above 190 F even in traffic. Fit right in behind the radiator, which is an early Corvette big block unit.
