..Help..B&B owners suggestions needed

My 94 La Exotics cobra currently has an old suspension set up: large cargo springs seperate from the shocks in the rear..the front has a shock in the center of a large spring..These large cargo springs look to be jimmy rigged irregular sizes on top of spacers...Is this acceptable? it squeaks like mad and some springs look pinched in certain spots. Am I just being overly worried?

If/should I convert it's existing suspention to a coilover suspension...Looks like B&B are putting QA1 coilovers ( that's what is labeled on their site) shocks on their current roadster builds.

I know there are some details, like the vehicles sprung weight front and rear...Which helps to determine the coilover shock with proper spring weight to use...I'm hoping someone here has done the homework for me.

What's your guys advice one what shocks to use? If any of you are running on the QA1's what are the part numbers? If you have better coilover and spring suggestions...I'd love to hear them...My cobra is a street cruiser..no track time...With 351 windsor and car is roughly 2300 lbs.
