Roll bar bezels question ??
Anybody know a supplier for oval 1 1/2" roll bar bezels. I got a kit of bezels with my kit car but they're all round,I need two oval ones. Mine came from finishline but there's no oval bezels,any clues,worst case my bodywork guy said he would make me some,just curious if anybody make them for 1 1/2" roll bars,thanks

Finishline don't have oval 1.5",they have only round ones which I already have,Terry gave me a site it's in Australia called Snake Bite,thanks guys. My painter which is also an expert Cobra builder said he will make me some,fairly easy when you have a machine shop,cheers

Bob,I think those are 2",especially made for the FFR's size. My painter and Cobra builder buy theirs from Finishline as well for their cars,it won't be a problem to make,I have to find if it's going to be included in the body work price,thanks for the info,I appreciate all of your replies.

Thanks for the reference but I know that Russ was a vendor on the Factory Five racing forum at one time and that he was making parts for the MK series. The FFR roll bars are 2" OD so having said that I'm not sure his bezels are for 1 1/2" roll bars but since it's sunday I haven't try to contact him yet but I assume he could make them,cheers

It's true,anybody like Russ that sell machine parts have a machine shop so they can make a small piece like a bezel of any size. I spoke with my bodywork guy and they will make me some,it's an easy one,problem solved here,cheers.

The ones that came with my car from ERA appear to be black rubber tubing, cut lengthwise so the cut fits over the fiberglass panel and the tubing wraps around so its ends meet to form an oval. Because I didn't want any water to enter the trunk through the gap, I purchased some sheet rubber from McMaster-Carr, cut an oval to fit around the rollbar support, and glued it underneath to the rubber tubing. It forms a perfect seal around the roll bar and you can't really see it.
