It's all a matter of personal aesthetics .. I wouldn't consider a car with 2 roll bars .. unless it was dirt cheap and then I would have the second one removed, have the holes filled, and the car repainted. That's my opinion. Think they look "goofy". Some people like them ... chocolate and vanilla. And I haven't seen any comments on this thread, outside of the original posters reaction to a perceived insult, that have approached "hate".

Obviously you've been talking with morons; a group with whom you no doubt fit in with to a "t".

Well that's ironic, considering the post above Patrick's post.

Hardly; the two are easily distinguished. Rickd is part of the one-third that dislikes dual roll bars. JWD cavorts with gaggles of morons.

I was referring to the members of this forum. However, you are correct about there being a group of morons. They are the ones with two roll bars that think their opinions are the only ones that count.

And I'm still undecided. Leaning more towards using another vehicle to gain solo status. I wonder if they'll let me take my wife's Excursion on the track. Maybe my Monaco Executive motorcoach. Nah. I'll rent a Focus from Hertz for the weekend. Seriously, though, I really haven't made up my mind regarding the 'look.' Mtpockets' BDR is gorgeous (only because it looks exactly like mine sans dual hoop and decals) but I love the single hoop look as well. It's a tough decision. After I saw the flip in the "Don't Do This" thread, I was convinced I wanted a second roll hoop just in case because you never know and anybody in the passenger seat during that flip was dead. There was zero protection. I do have to say I find it very humorous how the SPF and ERA guys want to knock down the BDR and FFR guys. At the end of the day, they're all replicas. It's kind of like Cubans and Puerto Ricans. They each think they're better but they only grew up on islands two hundred miles apart from each other and both share the same heritage.

Now I have hung out with Jim a few times and don't consider myself a "moron", so now you have drug me into this. And for that matter, neither is Jim a moron.

Sometimes it's hard to keep opinions civilized, must be the human condition.Just got off a Harley Forum and was called selfish because of not wearing a helmet.Wow! that serves noone. As long as we have the right to choose our path in life then there will be the head butting.Democrats, Republicans and Independents will vouch for that.

Nor do I, John. "Imbecile" is clearly more appropriate. But if you keep at it, maybe we can elevate you to Jim's group.;)

Well I guess you need to classify yourself, as it's usually the less intellengent that have to resort to name calling. So where do you fit in this?

I simply provide commentary on the human condition, of which the Cobra community is but a small subset.

Are you calling me a prostrate?

I tell ya. Either you're well read or you haven't reached the end of the Internet yet.

You were probably unaware that it is the all time favorite play of ERAChas. He says he can relate to the young Mr. Marlow.

Do you feel responsible for educating the masses? If you do, you may want to seek a different path in life.

So do you favor two roll bars or one and why?

Putting the safety issue completely aside, I am partial to two roll bars because I find the symmetry to be inherently pleasing. I realize it is a step distant from the originals, but WTF, my car's a fake anyway.;)

Now there's an answer on topic.

You do realize that we're all asymmetrical right?

Art is asymmetrical. The Cobra should be asymmetrical, because it's art. :)

Indeed we are. And, if you take photographic editing software, and "mirror" one side of a beautiful woman's face to match the other side, her beauty is then clearly diminished. In fact, ERA deliberatly makes their cars slightly asymmetrical just for that reason.
