Advice/comments please, epic possible road trip

Mark I would vote for the trailer idea. We took our Cobra with us to snowbird in Florida this winter. Pulled it in a trailer behind our moter home. We left Idaho in mid October and arrived in Florida via Connecticut in Mid December. With over 4,500 miles we had about 1/3 of the trip with weather that was either rain or snow or temps of 30 degrees or less. We were able to drive the Cobra when the weather was nice and we were interested in seeing certain sights. But if the weather sucked or we we had no interest in driving the Cobra through DC or NY City at rush hour we didn't have to. I have owned my Cobra for several years and it is well sorted out mechanically. It is still not a comfortable long distance cruiser. Big engine, top loader, 3:55 rear end, and stock seats. Fun fun car but not for long trips, but that is not what I bought it for. Think road trip on a Harley chopper. Great when your young, not so much as you get older.
