If I'm not mistaken, the AC colors are R-M codes.

The R-M paint code for Royal Maroon is A1636M.

Blas,
Would you happen to have the reverse side picture of the AC color wheel with the 17 swatches ?

Mike.

Blas 03-28-2015 06:49 AM

No, I don't have the opposite side of that color wheel.

krausewich 03-28-2015 12:19 PM

Thank you Blas. It's always awesome to see those original resources whenever and however they come available.

Not to off track the thread, but is there any chance that the car colors like the parts they share may have also been used on other british coaches like the Astons, etc... ?

Blas 03-29-2015 06:32 AM

Sorry, can't answer that question. I'm just sharing the reference photos I have in my collection. They came from another members gallery long ago I'm sure. There was also a letter from AC Cars that came with the smaller color wheel. Appears they supplied it to the owner. The photo in my gallery of the color wheel has his name in the comments section.

289 red

I am relatively sure that the red is Ford "Candyapple Red", or if on a Lincoln, "Cardinal Red". I painted my car that and it looks like a friend's original red car. He is the original owner.

1962 CSX 2000 Color Code

Hello All, this seems to be a mystery question but can someone share the color code of CSX 2000, Mr Shelby's 1962 Original Cobra that just sold at Monterey?

I would like to replicate that color as a tribute to Mr. Shelby on my Pro Build.

Thank you for your consideration and time.

Something that no one seems to notice is that the original production cars did not have stripes. They were painted solid colors.

krausewich 08-22-2016 11:49 AM

Is this 2000 delivered unpainted ?
If so, could have been any number of 'most likely' American blues available at the time...
