Default Garage Art

I had been thinking about blowing up the photo of a Cobra getting air for a number of years, and just hadn't gotten around to it. I finally took the time today, and here is the final product hanging in Garage Mahal.

Reading Herman's (289FIA_Cobra) post on his tin garage art disrupted my inertia...

Anybody else take the time to add art to their garage? Actually, in preparation for building my ERA I remodeled my garage, sheetrocking the ceiling, installing recessed lighting, a 16-foot long workbench (with a sink and hot water), and even put in crown moulding and shallow cabinets to house all of my tools.

What about everyone else's garage art? Let's see it!

Wow! Nice workspace!

I have ONE picture hanging on the wall, and I think I've "decorated". I think I'll have to figure out a place for my Cobra scale models and Hot Wheels.

Nice.

Any others out there?

OK-- OK, I'll have to admit that the pictures are not how the garage typically looks. We were having a BBQ and I wanted to show off the new RV garage/shop a little bit. I took the pictures while all was new & clean.

My old shop was so small that you had to clean up after yourself constantly or you could't get through the door.

That is a great idea for the valve covers. I know what I'm going to do with my extra "Cobra" covers now.

Nice kayaks---that's not a garage; it's a toy box.

What's under the car cover on the left?

Bob my junk is in one bay of my 3 car garage and a 14 X 16 shed next to my shop. Is that a collection of empty beer bottles on your shelf or do you just drink warm beer

3 car garage? Shed? Lucky dog. What a man cave!

Yeah…they are empty beer bottles. They counter balance the opposite wall. Every time I empty one, I’m forced to peddle one of those hanging bikes… Sucks when you hit 50.

I am thinking about putting Racedeck down on my garage floor. Any Racedeck adherent's out there?

It looks like I can do my garage floor for about $1500. ClubCobra.com members get a discount, too.

Lovehamr: Times have changed. The current "really gay car" is the PT Cruiser. It can't get much more gay than that...

I put Racedeck in my garage and I'm very pleased with it.

Some people complain about the noise as you walk on it. Does not bother me at all, and I like it in the winter in that I can lay on it and not freeze my furry butt off.

The Race Deck is non-skid right? I have a gloss epoxy coated floor in mine but the installer didn't put enough grit/sand in the mix so my floor is a deathtrap when wet. Cleans up real easy, but it'll exercise the ABS brakes in my daily driver if I pull in too fast when wet.

Default Garage art

Here's a shot of the "Cobra Wall" in my garage:

Wish I had more wall space, as I have plenty of posters, but tool boxes, cabinets, and storage shelves are more critical in a working garage.

The lift was one of the most useful tools I've bought. What used to take me a couple weeks to detail the underside of the car for a big car show
(car on jackstands, me crawling around under it), now takes just a few hours. It also allows me to cram four cars into a three-car garage.

More photos in my "Garage" album.

Jeff
