Need to sell Serpent Express trailer
I need to sell my Serpent Express trailer as I need the room for some new projects. (See my add in the General Stuff for Sale section.) I haven't had any luck selling it locally so I have dropped the price to $2,100 Even with the high gas prices someone in a nearby state could still get a bargain. I even have a guest room that you could stay in so you wouldn't need to get a hotel room if you needed to stay overnight. At this price I can sell it locally without the cover but I would really like to sell it to a Cobra owner.

It looks like I will be making a trip to Denver the later part of August and could bring the trailer that far. If someone is looking for a Serpent Express Trailer meeting in Denver might make this deal work for some of you that are east of the Rockies.

Dick - I wasn't really looking for a trailer, but I'd be interested in some info and maybe a picture or two. What is the trailer make and material under the Serpent Express cover? How old is it and what condition are the tires, axles, and brakes? Brakes on all four wheels or only one axle?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris the trailer is made by Eagle Trailer Manufacturing and I bought it in 2005. The tires are in good shape as are the axles and brakes. It has a new spair tire and brakes on one axle only. There are a couple of pictures on page 8 or 9 of my album and if you send me your email I can send any close ups that you would like.

Hi Flip--Google maps says it's only 4,734 miles round trip from Nampa to Britchton GA. Maybe if I loaded the trailer with Idaho potatoes to sell in GA and brought back a PU truckload Claxton fruitcakes to ID I could make the trip pay for it's self.
Seriously though, we are looking forward to you fixen us some of your Low Country Boil the next time we are in your neck of the woods.

Dick - thanks for the added info. I can't locate your album, though, other than the two here on CC with just 7 and 14 pics respectively - no shots of the trailer, though. Do you have a link?

Jerry with the lopes and melons you always have to worry about spoilage. With the fruitcakes no such worry and even after they get stale you still have a good door stop.

Dick's SE
I can testify that Dick's Serpent Express is a nice one. He treats his equipment well. If we had storage room, we'd buy it back for inventory.

Thanks Larry, I still have the trailer and the price is down to $2,100 to get it in some new owners hands. We will be heading south to Tucson for the winter at the end of November and the trailer will go into the garage for the winter. Next spring I will put the trailer back on the market at the higher price and start over.
