Enzo from Finish Line passed away
Hi Guys,
Some of you may already know but last Tuesday, Enzo Alibrandi, from Finish Line passed away at the age of 59 from cancer. Many of you knew that he was sick and fighting so hard the last 21 months. Up until a week before he died we would still bring him to the office and sit him in his chair. He hadn't been able to work in a long time but he always wanted to be at the office. He loved Finish Line so much. He taught us all how to work hard with integrity, have fun to the fullest extent, try to squeeze every last day out of his life with some enjoyment and towards the end he realized all his paradise was right before his eyes, in his home, with his family and surrounded by love. He did everything to take care of me during these past 2 years and made sure he lined up everyone to look after me while pretending he would be cured through the entire time. So many people have showed him kindness and respect as his body changed and the disease was obvious and I thank all of you that did this. He could only whisper the last 6 months but he used to say, everybody really pays attention now when I talk. I had to shower him, dress him and he would pat me on the top of the head and thank me and say he was sorry I had to do so much for him and I always got up and kissed him and told him it was my pleasure to serve him. I never let him feel like a burden to me and I will miss him always. I will try to live a life that he would be proud of and we will keep Finish Line going as he loved it so much. Johnnie has been running it pretty single handedly with our daughter's help the last year and Enzo was so proud of them. Also, many of you knew our 12 grandson has also been battling cancer for the last 3 years and 3 weeks before Enzo died our grandson had his port removed and he is now cancer free. We are grateful. Sad news, indeed, Paula...my condolences on your loss. I had the chance to speak with Enzo by phone recently when I was searching for bumperettes for my Cobra, he apologized for the weakness of his voice but he was nonetheless very helpful.
I'm sure his presence will be missed by all of us enthusiasts! Regards from Dugly  |
I'm so sorry Paula. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Sympathies to all in your family and perhaps comfort knowing he was liked by thousands of us enthusiasts....but you knew that already. |
Paula,
It is sad to hear of his passing. When I first got into the Cobra business, Enzo would send me parts to see if they would fit the SPF cars. Good times. He will be missed by us. |
