When is a Cobra no longer a Cobra?

I didn't want to hijack a thread from the Good Guys show, but after looking at the pix of the bagged and elongated car, it got me thinking. At what point do you quit calling a car a Cobra? The car has morphed as far as color, engine, transmissions. It has changed in width , wheelbase and qite a few other things I probably don't even realize. redmt, I'm guessing to the guy who built it, its one hellova a Cobra and he is proud as he can be, particularly if it was a scratch build. Sorta like a woman, when is a woman no longer a woman and more of a dog? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've seen a lot of long tall Sally's in my time, but to their husband or boy friends that are the apple of their eye, while some other folks would disagree and call em' dogs. Hey, who knows maybe this guys just wanted something different but with a hint of the Cobra and put his own stamp on it, so how many of us can be held to any other higher standard when it comes down to owning a Cobra? That's what make owning our own Cobra unlike anything else. Purists notwithstanding. IMHO. tin-man
