Now, you see, THAT'S what I'm talking about.

Gotta have a scoop on the hood....it's just iconic to the Cobra!

Hoop bumpers make it the "street look"--gotta have them both front and back.

I like both body styles with the 289 exhaust in front of the rear wheels, or better yet out the back!

I could do with or without the stripes, but I think that when most people visualize a Cobra, it has the stripes....I know it's the only way I thought of them for better than 30 years....just got interested in the street model look within the last 10 years.

Cheers for a GREAT look!

Dugly

The one on the left looks like the Portofino Blue on my Superformance. Anyone know what that color was called on the originals?

Jack

gsharapa 10-31-2011 11:21 AM

The street version cobra is CSX3190 - Silver Mink is the color!

Buzz 10-31-2011 12:35 PM

Jack, your car looks great - love the color.
Gary, gotta love the way the originals sit so nice and low. Something that I wish we saw more of from replica manufacturers.

Mine is pretty low and could lower it more for the track but pretty good on the street...

Absolutely Gary. that is just one of the things that makes these Exact Carbon Fiber cars so flipping incredible.

Flygirl 10-31-2011 08:26 PM

These are some really good looking cars. Thanks for posting. If I go with a new ERA, it'll be Wimbledon white, and the street look all the way. That silver mink color is stunning, though, and that particular car seems so low slung and swoopy. Wow!

Cheers, John, AKA, tin-man

Hmmm - who sez the engine is in the back? There's a Kaase Boss 429 (assembled by blykins) under the front bonnet. The original air cooled wheezer stays in the back and is converted to run on coconut oil for economical low speed cruising.

Buzz, only you could have made this transition, my congratulations, like I said you da man, this picture is awesome. That said, if this custom made Cobra rocket sled has two engines it must be well balanced for it to pop a wheelie, huh, huh, hint, hint?

BTW did you ever consider putting together a book of the artwork you have rendered for this site and elsewhere, I would surely be first in line to buy one, you decidedly have a gift.

Cheers, John AKA, tin-man

Don't bother me with details. What fun is it to have a car that is like a bunch of others? I could go down to the local Toyota store and accomplish that. :D:D

Thanks for the "Uff Da." Never got one of those before!
